Shango was driving his horse to a people who had never visited and where nobody knew him. The horse was galloping up and floating red layer of the orisha, giving the rider the unmistakable air of lord, king of kings.
already ventured into his itinerary, he found a poor blind man who walked with great difficulty towards the same place.
- Going to town, arugbo? "The voice thundered in the ears of the elderly.
"Yes, dear," replied the blind.
"Give me your hand, you'll go up to my horse," said the king, whose good heart was moved to contemplate the underdog. Shango man mounted on the croup and traveled a long time to reach the desired location.
"Here I'll leave Shango said as he helped get off at the town's main street.
- Help! Cried the blind as soon set foot on land. - Help! I want to steal my horse, "he repeated loudly.
The villagers crowded around both and justice not long in coming.
"I picked up this man on the road and now I want to steal the horse," explained the blind to the present, who were beginning to look at Shango with a face.
- Got something to say? Asked one of the soldiers who had just arrived.
"Well, if he says the horse belongs, I think you should know if a horse or a mare.
- What do you answer, old man? Asked another soldier. The blind man caught
surprise at the question that made the orisha and thinking that nobody would see, held out his hand looking at the genitals of the beast to see if it was male or female. Those present laughed, and the soldiers returned the horse to its owner, but not before sternly scold the blind liar.
